so some of you are already aware, but edwin cycles is in trouble. Apparently there is some impression that we manufacture money and the power company really made life miserable for us. After acquiring a new CNC mill and horizontal mill (the green meanie) and taking steps to bring three phase power to the shop, I was informed by the power company that we had to pay an 'impact fee' because we were putting more demand on the overall useage. Hmmm, 200 amps of power was WAY more than we needed, and I think the average household still consumes more power than we do (I cite my residential bill, also in Heber, runs about 65 a month, Edwin runs at 100...and its just spinner and I at the house!). So, after being forced to dish out nearly 3k (2988.00) and another 6K for the power upgrade (???how the hell did that happen?) we were cleaned out. I am now living on 200 bucks in my wallet....So, thank you Heber City Power and Light, for the arbitrary fee that you still cannot tell us how it is calculated and refusing to even take payments.....maybe we should be in the public utility buisness??? (oh, and when I asked when they would connect us after I paid, I was hung up on by the office person.....do they know I am an angry New Englander?) Any Lawyers out there want to work pro-bono???
