| Who is 'edwin'? Edwin is actually Doug, my middle name is 'edwin'. My first grade teacher (Ms. Minkler) used to burn that name up! Well, since I had no other useful purpose for it I decided it would make a great name for my bikes. Edwin's were born in a shop I used to own called 'cyclesmith' in Salt Lake. It is the second shop I have owned over the past 15 years in this buisness (both shops running strong). After selling the shop (and some quality time in Iraq), I decided to try frame building full time....scary thought, but pasta is cheap. Why another small frame builder? well, think about it this way, most folks would buy a frame made for them if it could be competitively light and affordable. Remember the days of Fat Chance? Why spend all your hard earned money on some import from asia? All my bikes are made right here in Utah by me...how is that for accountability? Prices are kept low, this is a reflection of careful planning and selection. Lets face it, no one is going to retire doing this type of work; so why gouge folks for their product? Quality is key here, you can find alot of nice bikes out there.. but I challenge you to try an edwin; you won't be let down. I must mention that I am excited to offer Ventana full suspension rear ends on my bikes and of course Jen Green's awesome sterling headbadges. All edwin's come with a five year warranty and lifetime service and replacement for the original owner. I look forward to building your next bike! -doug. |
| Colors: , I use powdercoat finishes, ask about custom colors. Decal colors are shown below, decals are panels and are easily replaced later on. |
